The Child Marriage data from 2010 shows that 52% of girls in South Sudan are married before their 18th birthday and 9% are married before the age of 15. 57% of the South Sudanese population are under the age of 18. Pre-conflict child marriage rates do not vary significantly among girls of different education levels, wealth indexes or rural or urban locality.
