This review (2013) takes a look at three (recent) dynamics important to South Sudan’s process of nation-building: the on-going review of the transitional constitution, national reconciliation effort spearheaded by the Vice President Riek Machar, and the relations with the Republic of Sudan.

This report examines child and forced marriage in South Sudan. The report suggests that child marriage has a significant negative impact on women and girl’s realization of key human rights, including their rights to health and education, physical integrity and the right to marry only when they are able and willing to give their free consent.

This report presents findings from an assessment that the South Sudan Law Society (SSLS) conducted on the accessibility of local justice systems across six rural counties of South Sudan. The assessment included a comprehensive household survey that examined the legal needs of populations residing in the six counties and the legal services that are available to service those needs and numerous interviews with local justice service providers and users.
